By now you've probably started to think that I had somehow disappeared.

And yes, I did decide to take a bit of a break toward the end of 2023.

But it's 2024 now and there's been a ton new development over the past few weeks.

Most importantly, Midjourney released version 6 (alpha) just before Christmas.

Naturally, I had to give it a test drive and boy oh boy, a lot has improved.

If you thought the image quality couldn't get any better, you're in for a suprise because it definitely has.

But the most important improvement is the prompt coherence.

It is miles beyond what we were able to do with v5 and some people are even claiming it's better than DALL-E 3.

Sure, when it comes to image quality, there's no contest.

But in terms of prompt coherence, I wasn't so sure.

And that's precisely why I decided to launch the "Prompt Coherence Challenge".

I let Midjourney and DALL-E 3 go head to head in order to determine who still has an edge in this regard.

I don't want to spoil things for you but Midjourney has made huge strides with v6!
