Excel's NETWORKDAY function returns the number of whole working days between start_date and end_date. I'll use the EOMONTH (end of the month) function along with NETWORKDAYS.INTL function to calculate how many working days are in each month. Working days exclude weekends and any dates identified in holidays. Use NETWORKDAYS to calculate the number of working days you have to complete a project.

Tip: To calculate whole workdays between two dates that are not the normal weekend of Saturday and Sunday, you can use the NETWORKDAYS.INTL function. I use it in the video to make the weekend days Thursday and Friday instead of Saturday and Sunday.

EOMONTH Function
Two arguments. EOMONTH(start_date, months)
Example: cell B4 contains 8/1/2021. =EOMONTH(B4,0) will return 8/31/2021
Example: cell B4 contains 8/1/2021. =EOMONTH(B4,1) will return 9/30/2021
Example: cell B5 contains 9/1/2022. =EOMONTH(B5,0) will return 9/30/2022

Months Required. The number of months before or after start_date. A positive value for months yields a future date; a negative value yields a past date.
