A Thai Island PARADISE All To Ourselves (Koh Kood): Best Beaches, Street Food And Fun Things To Do

Описание к видео A Thai Island PARADISE All To Ourselves (Koh Kood): Best Beaches, Street Food And Fun Things To Do

Koh Kood (Koh Kut) is one of the most idyllic islands that we visited in Thailand and we loved its relaxed vibe and very beautiful beaches. It's safe to say that Koh Kood has become one of our favourite islands in Thailand.

Koh Kood is more of a hidden gem when it comes to islands in Thailand and it was never the bustling tourist destination that Koh Samui or Phuket are.

That's why we were excited to come here, as we were expecting a quiet paradise island. And that's exactly what we got! Of course also due to the current situation in the world, we had many parts of the island almost all to ourselves. Especially the beaches were very empty, which was almost a bit overwhelming.

Koh Kood Beach Review:

We spent most of our time relaxing, checking out the different beaches, eating street food and visiting other attractions on Koh Kood, such as waterfalls. If you're planning on visiting Koh Kood, here are our thoughts on the beaches that we visited:

Bang Bao: probably our favourite all around beach. It's got very clear water and is very windstill as its bay is protected from both sides. It's a bit more on the commercial side, but that also means quick access to drinks and even massages. We also did some light snorkeling here, which was nice.
Neverland beach (Ao Jak) was our second favourite beach. It's quite secluded with two cafes that belong to resorts. It can get more windy here, so the water is maybe not as clear as at Bang Bao, but it's still very nice. The water is quite shallow, so this makes for a nice place to hang out in a bathtub-atmosphere.
Secret beach: This is a more "wild" and very pretty beach, but harder to reach and soon home to a large resort. It's very secluded, as long as there aren't any tour groups there that come there by boat. There are two beaches at an angle that are connected at the tip and it's very idyllic.
Ao Tankian: Very secluded beach even though it's next to a resort. Not as pretty as the other beaches, but there wasn't anyone around, so it was a cool experience to watch the sunset here.
Klong Chang beach (Tinkerbell) is where all the main resorts are, such as the Tinkerbell resort. The water is nice and turquoise, but the beach is narrow and it's only really a lot of fun if you're also staying in a resort there.

All in all we loved the beaches on Koh Kood and there's definitely something for everyone here. We can also recommend checking out the mammoth trees on the island, which were impressive.

What's next?

We'll be spending a few weeks in Thailand, before continuing to our next country in Asia, which will probably be Sri Lanka. And then? We'll see!
