Why Is The Second Child More Difficult?

Is second child syndrome a thing? If so, why?
This week I'm delving into why I think the second child is crazier, more active and makes you feel like you have 6 additional children, not just one.
There is not much scientific proof, other than that supplied by MIT:

But I thought I'd explain the reasons why I think second children are harder work than the first. Please share your stories below on how you have found having the second child.
