Bach: Badinerie - Baroque Meets Jazz

I have always been fascinated by how much common the baroque music and jazz have together. The passion and rhythmic flow, and even the baroque figured bass as a short of a precursor of the chord symbols in today's jazz. Both styles were a kind of revolution in their own time, and the improvisation was (is) a fundamental. It's a challenging but also very interesting to find the window for improvising on baroque themes, by keeping the original melodies and harmony changes. Before I turned to jazz in my life, I studied a long time classical music, and by making these recordings, I'm getting back the old feel of classical music while playing jazz. Thank you for watching!
