23rd General Conference Session of Seventh-day Adventists; and other happenings [History]

For this week in Adventist history, on October 30, 1884, the 23rd General Conference Session was conducted in Battle Creek, Michigan, with 67 delegates. At the time, the General Conference had 28 conferences and three missions, but delegates came from only twenty-one conferences and one of the missions. The delegates met off and on for a month and reelected all three officers, President Butler, Secretary Uriah Smith, and Treasurer A. R. Henry.
