While researching EF to Z adapters I saw this Altson adapter being sold for $60 new and couldn't pass it up. I took the Canon EF 50mm and a 100-300mm lenses out for a photowalk in my local state park to see how the adapter works.

NOTE: For the Nikon Z5 firmware 1.20 and other Z cameras that got an update, older Altson firmware does not work at all. As I write this Altson company hasn't updated their website, but they do have a firmware update available to fix the compatibility issue. I was able to email them and get firmware v2.01. I don't know why they haven't updated their website. I suggest contacting them but as as last resort, I've uploaded the firmware file they sent me to my website: https://photographybanzai.com/2021/12...
