About Arun Balakrishnan
Arun Balakrishnan is a distinguished leader in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He was the founder of HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd. (established in 2000) and served as its Independent Director. Currently, he holds multiple directorships across prominent organizations including Antrix Corporation Ltd., Western Coalfields Ltd., Indian Rare Earths Ltd., KazStroyService Global BV, HPCL-Mittal Pipelines Ltd., Rashtriya e Market Services Pvt Ltd., NCDEX e Markets Ltd., Wellness Diabetacare Pvt Ltd., Yokogawa India Ltd. (since 2023), AlphaMERS Ltd., Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. (since 2020), Pipeline Infrastructure Ltd. (since 2019), Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies.
Mr. Balakrishnan previously served as Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (2009–2010) and as Chairman of The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. (2019).
