How to cook okra without the sliminess: simple and easy way

Here's a quick and tasty way to prepare okra or ochro as it's known in the Caribbean. First we'll create an aromatic base with diced onion garlic and curry powder then we'll toss in the okra and give it a quick stir-fry
Here's my recommendation for trying okra without the sliminess:

1. Slice the okra in even pieces.
2. Heat a skillet to hot & add oil or ghee.
3. Add the okra & let sit until brown on one side.
4. Stir okra & add salt.
5. Keep sauteing until other side browns.
6. Salt & pepper to taste.

Okra can be fried & stewed but if you're new to the vegetable a clean saute may be the best way to experience the flavor & texture. Okra must be cooked within two days of buying it. It will go bad quickly.
