Yaesu FTDX10 on VHF & UHF

Описание к видео Yaesu FTDX10 on VHF & UHF

This is an update on my current UK Activity VHF/UHF Contesting set-up. It also shows how you can use transverters to enable your FTDX10 (or any HF rig come to that) to be used on bands above the HF ones it was originally designed for. The advantage of this, particularly in a contesting set-up, is the quality of the RX and importantly the TX of the HF rig. A good transverter will not degrade these attributes, meaning excellent RX/TX performance on these higher bands, and most likely better than a dedicated commercial VHF or UHF transceiver. This is especially important when operating on a crowded band, dealing with large/local signals, or operating portable from high ground in the general neighbourhood of other stations in a contesting situation.

This is one of many amateur/ham radio related videos on my channel. Please feel free to browse 👀, like 👍🏻 and subscribe (it's free!), remembering to hit the bell 🔔 so you’re notified of new videos as soon as they're published and you don't miss out.

Thanks.
