Hey nursing friends! I wanted to take some time to lay out a few of the pros and cons of day shift in case you are debating between the two. I've worked both shifts, 7A-7P and 7P-7A, and can honestly say there are amazing benefits to both. While night shift will always hold a special place in my heart, largely because of the coworkers I had the pleasure of working with, I can say that I've grown most on day shift. Keep an open mind to all the advantages and disadvantages of each and weigh them against what works best for your situation. Only you know what the right choice is for you. Plus, the best thing about nursing is that you can nearly always change it up!
