Even more audacious is his latest vision: deploying 100GW of solar-powered AI satellites annually in space, generating nearly a quarter of the nation's electricity.

The underlying logic is chilling. AI computing power is skyrocketing, and the demand for electricity and cooling is spiraling out of control. To support 200 to 300GW of continuous computing power, ground-based solutions will only become increasingly expensive. A nuclear power plant only generates 1GW—when will that be enough? In space, the sun never goes off, requiring no batteries or complex cooling systems, resulting in lower costs.
