Salesforce Flow Builder Tutorial (Episode 21) - Flow Formulas

In part twenty-one of our Salesforce Flow Builder tutorial series we've activated our flow and will go back to the Salesforce UI to test it out. We do this by creating a task record and then changing the Assigned Coordinator field on our task. We intentionally trigger the bug we built earlier to see what it looks like and talk about best practices around flow deployment.

Next, we return to the flow builder to correct our bug by making the start conditions more restrictive in a new flow version. We also build another failsafe into our flow by creating a flow formula variable to check if the user record found by our get element has a value. If it does, we'll reference that value, and if not, we'll leave the owner field alone.

Finally, we update our assignment element to use our new formula and then save our flow.
