In this video, I will play through the entire No Mercy campaign on Xbox with a controller while doing it solo on Expert Realism. This is playing it single-player with bots, and it is very difficult to do.


No Mercy is probably the easiest campaign as well as the first campaign. I died twice on level 4: once to bad RNG and once to bad positioning. I died twice on the finale because I wanted to try and play it normally, but ultimately decided to use a cheap spot where the infected can’t get me. I’m not opposed to using little tricks here and there when I need them.


To my knowledge, I’m the only person to have done this on Xbox and the only one to upload it, as well. Hopefully it can be helpful to watch for anyone who might want to attempt it themselves, as I’ve learned a lot of tricks and good places to hold out for events. This is part 1 of 13, so join me as I beat Left 4 Dead 2 on Solo Expert Realism on Xbox. The footage was captured on Xbox Series X using an Elgato 4K S and edited in Davinci Resolve 20.

Quick note: Some of the editing between levels is a bit sloppy as I’ve never recorded and edited footage before. I’m not sure why, but dying and restarting a level puts you in a different spot in the safe room.
