A college admissions cheating scandal involving TV stars Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman and 30+ other extremely wealthy parents has taken the world by storm. Most people are rightfully shocked and appalled at the scheme, as undeserving students like Lori's daughters (including YouTuber Olivia Jade) went to schools like USC after pretending they were on the rowing team.

Today, I share my perspective on the college admissions scandal as a student at Princeton University and a private college consultant. While the way in which this this scandal was orchestrated by ringleader William "Rick" Singer is shocking, I am NOT surprised by the way in which large bribes were made to guarantee admission to Ivy Leagues and other elite schools.
