We are offering a new seal design for the GR6 clutch pistons which have been working incredibly well! The design uses a PTFE Carbon Impregnated Ring which fits into a custom made housing that pops directly on the factory piston assembly. You typically need to spend thousands on a billet piston to accept an aftermarket seal, but the beauty of our design is it uses the factory piston, so it saves a lot on complexity and machining costs. Simple yet very effective!

This type of seal is the industry standard for high pressure areas of automatic transmissions, but apparently Nissan never got the memo for the GR6! These rings seal perfectly and can withstand insane pressures for the life of the unit. Why Nissan didn't engineer a seal like this in the trans originally is just crazy. Nissan used a rubber seal with a very weak and thin lip which will fatigue and blow in time.

To this day, Nissan and many aftermarket seals for the pistons are made of rubber or are Viton. All of these types of seals are not designed for high pressure and high vibration environments and will eventually fail. Our Carbon seal will live and never blow due to pressure, vibration or age. We are very proud of this amazing new design and integrate it into all our GT-R GR6 trans builds!

This video is here to help the DIYer in installing these sealsthemselves.
