Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrios is regarded as one of the greatest competitive Super Smash Bros players ever. His streak of 56 tournament wins between 2014 and 2015 etched his name into the e-Sports record books. He built on his success, creating content on YouTube and Twitch, becoming one of the most popular Smash creators. In 2019 he was poached by Facebook, signing an exclusive deal with the platform. However, in July 2020 his world would come crashing down when a former roommate ignited a series of events that led to ZeRo's reputation being left in rubble – his irrefutable messages with a 14 year old fan forcing his submission. Months of silence would follow until a personal scare brought him back into the spotlight. Then months later he announced his return. A lawsuit followed, then came a settlement.
