Описание к видео Sea attack warning in Kerala coast, rains to continue…

#KeralaRains2022 #KeralaWeather #IMDAlert

The state is still prone to heavy rains. The Central Meteorological Department has forecast isolated showers in all the districts in the next three hours. Orange alert was declared in four districts. The orange alert was issued in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts. Yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad and Wayanad districts. Authorities advised fishermen not to go to sea. Heavy rainfall is caused by hurricanes in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal and strong westerly winds. Authorities have warned of heavy rains in the state till Saturday. Orange alert has been declared in the districts from Thrissur to Kasargod Wednesday. The India Metrological Department has withdrawn the red alert issued for five districts in Kerala on Monday as rain subsided in the state. Meanwhile, IMD sounded an orange alert in Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod on Monday. The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has warned coastal areas to be vigilant as the sea is likely to be turbulent till May 19. People in coastal areas should exercise caution due to high tidal waves in the area between 11 am and 2 pm and from 10.30 pm to midnight. Extreme levels of rainfall during high tide can affect the flow of rainwater into the sea and flood low-lying areas. Fishing gear should be moved to a safe place. Fishermen will not be allowed to go fishing off the coast of Kerala and Lakshadweep till the end of the fishing ban.
