Jeep TJ front axle U-joint replacement. Dana 30 U-joint replacement (how to clean axle tubes)
In this episode I will show you how to replace the front axle U joint on a Jeep Wrangler TJ with a Dana 30 front differential. I will show you how to remove the old view joint from the axle and install a new joint onto the axle.
Most people don't realize when you remove and reinstall your axle shafts you push rust particles, sand and salt inside of your differential. In this video I will show you how to replace the front axle U joints without getting any debris inside your differential, I will show you how to clean your axle tubes before reinstalling your axle shaft back into the differential.
If you pushed debris inside your differential after installing the axleshafts back in, don't worry in this video I will show you how to clean the inside of the differential, I will show you how to remove the ring gear, clean it and reinstall it back in. It's a very easy process.
If you leave debris inside the differential the differential will fail and fall apart.
Tools:
Ratchet set.
13mm 12 point socket.
A hammer.
An axe.
Plumbers blow torch.

Dana 30 front axleshaft U joints.
Torque specs:
Front axleshaft hub nut 175 foot pounds.
Front hub assembly to steering knuckle bolts 75 foot pounds.
