Kevin Wiltse and his family farm and ranch 45 miles south and east of Hays, KS. He began 100% no-till in 1997 and integrating cover crops around 2008.

Not happy with the economics, erosion, and poor infiltration rates associated with annual cropping on their soils, Kevin began to implement perennial systems into cropland in 2014. Cool season pastures, Kernza, and diverse warm and cool season mixes have all been implemented with varying results.

Today, the farm is a connected network of perennials, native range and annual cropland. Significant investment in water and fence infrastructure has been added to make this all possible.
