Tokuchi Toua is the enigmatic protagonist of One Outs, a psychological sports manga and anime. His calm and almost emotionless demeanor hides a sharp, calculating mind. He eventually joins a professional baseball team, the Lycaons, under a unique contract: he earns a large sum of money for every out he gets but loses even more for every run he allows. Tokuchi uses this contract to turn the tables on his manipulative owner and revolutionize the way the game is played. His focus is less on the physical aspects of the sport and more on the mental warfare between players, making him a unique and formidable character in sports anime.

Conan Edogawa is the alias of Shinichi Kudo, the teenage detective protagonist of Detective Conan (Case Closed). Shinichi, originally a brilliant high school detective, is transformed into a child after being poisoned by an underground criminal organization known as the Black Organization. The poison, meant to kill him, shrinks his body instead, leaving him with the mind of a 17-year-old in the body of a 7-year-old. To conceal his true identity and protect his loved ones from the Black Organization, he adopts the name Conan Edogawa, inspired by mystery writers Arthur Conan Doyle and Ranpo Edogawa.

As Conan, he continues solving complex mysteries and crimes, using his intellect, keen observation skills, and advanced gadgets created by his friend, Dr. Agasa. Despite his childlike appearance, Conan often outsmarts seasoned criminals and professional detectives. He frequently assists his childhood friend, Ran Mouri, and her father, Kogoro Mouri, a bumbling detective whose fame often comes from cases Conan solves in secret. Conan’s ultimate goal is to take down the Black Organization and regain his original body, but along the way, he faces countless intricate cases, consistently proving his unmatched detective skills.
