Sports Saturday #59 - NFL 2K2 Week 9: Getting Grounded by the Falcons (Dreamcast)

We said from the outset that the goal of this 'What If?" scenario was not to go undefeated. Considering it's only been done twice in NFL regular season history and the last team to try it - my New England Patriots - historically didn't close the deal.

But we noticed that the difficulty for NFL 2K2 seemed a little lower than usual, despite being on what we thought was standard for the game straight out of the box. So, for this week's game with the Atlanta Falcons, we tweak the difficulty up a notch to see how much difference it makes.

In doing so, we also find out this has a similar flaw to many games. Upping the difficulty makes the game nearly unplayable, which defeats the purpose entirely. It's supposed to be a challenge - not borderline impossible.
