Hello and welcome to the channel! In this video we'll be taking a look back and what is arguably the darkest, creepiest Sonic The Hedgehog game to date: Sonic Spinball! It was released on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive in 1993 (along with an 8 bit version on the Master System and Game Gear) and produced almost-entirely by Western developers while Sega of Japan continued work on Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

The result of this was a game taking more influence from darker, Western Sonic media such as the SatAM TV series. But this game took that darker tone and cranked it up to 11 with hideous bosses, a dirtier color palette and an altogether more intense and... pessimistic tone.

So join me as we take a look back at this wild oddity of a Sonic game: Sonic The Hedghog Spinball!
