SDN’s VANDE MATARAM

As an institution with national responsibility backed with artistic calibre, Sridevi Nrithyalaya is presenting a dance production with a patriotic theme, for the first time in its artistic journey.

Sridevi Nrithyalaya's 'VANDE MATARAM' explores the customary strength of our Bharatha Varsha that was enriched with various cultures and deep rooted heritage which the world always looks up to, in spite of periodic detriments. The speciality of this social theme presentation is that:

*presented to professionally recorded Instrumental music
rendered by eminent artistes.
*Has very minimal lyrics which is linguistically inclusive.
*Owing to the demand of the theme, our Melattur style presentation
goes beyond the boundaries of Bharathanatyam style of dance.
*Inspired by the life of Mahatma Gandhi, the core theme of our
presentation is designed to convey moral living to all.
*Music composition for this production incorporates international
musical instruments in Indian music.
*The entire presentation will be totally colourful, with the favourite
characters of Mahatma on the lead.

Music for Sridevi Nrithyalaya’s “Vande Mataram” has been composed by the violin maestro Embar Sri Kannan, exploring the raga bhavas, which has truly added a vibrant flavour to the production and making it appealing to all types of audience. Concept of the production and the dance Choreography have been done by Dr. Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and this thematic presentation will be performed by 52 of her disciples.

Sridevi Nrithyalaya dedicates “Vande Mataram” to all those sincere and devout Indians.

Since SDN is run by SRIDEVI NRITHYALAYA TRUST, all the productions of SDN, be it music or dance, become intellectual property of the Trust. Sridevi Nrithyalaya Trust (SDNT) owns all the productions and will not allow anyone to download or use SDN videos/audios, even it is meant to be for non-commercial purpose.

Our social media team, assisted with a legal team, watchfully works in curbing audios/videos of Sridevi Nrithyalaya that have been used in unauthorized way and uploaded in social media. Though we do not put up copyright declarations in all our videos, we strictly adhere to legal formalities and procedures regarding copyrights.

We honestly work hard and spend a good time and amount of our resources to produce our music and dance videos. They are produced and uploaded in our social platforms solely to take our art to all those raiskas around the globe who are unable to reach us in person to enjoy SDN's art live.

It is not about 'misuse' or 'trying to support' our dance and audio productions by just giving credits. Art is for all for sure. Our productions uploaded in social platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation.
