In this video, I show my friend Melvin a simple method we use at DITO’S Garden to make an effective potting mix for transplanting flowers or other plants.

We build the mix directly inside the bag in five sections, using a combination of rock sand for drainage, wood-based charcoal (biochar style) for structure and moisture balance, and DITO’S Vermicompost to bring in living fertility. We finish with a leaf mulch layer to protect the compost, keep moisture in, and help beneficial microorganisms stay active longer.

This is an easy mix you can replicate at home with basic tools, and it works great for pots, grow bags, and general transplanting.
