Geoffrey Bawa was a world-renowned Sri Lankan architect whose work was mainly in Sri Lanka but has worked in countries such as India, Indonesia, Mauritius, Japan, Pakistan, Fiji, Egypt, and Singapore. His works include schools, clubs, houses, hotels, offices, and government buildings. He had built his office, a graceful colonial bungalow, which sits in an upscale area of Colombo and has been transformed into a restaurant known as Paradise Road Gallery Café.
