India: French President Emmanuel Macron on Jaipur Tour Ahead of 75th Republic Day Celebrations

India rolled out the red carpet for French President Emmanuel Macron, who is the Chief Guest for the 75th Republic Day Celebrations. Macron received a grand welcome from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India's Pink City Jaipur. The two leaders held a roadshow in Jaipur and visited the Amer Fort and other historical sites. PM Modi and President Macron also visited Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Macron's visit marks strengthening relations between India and France. In their talks, PM Modi and President Macron are expected to discuss India's multi-billion dollar procurement of Rafale fighter jets and Scorpene class submarines.
