Here is a "Melotone" recording of You Gave Me Everything But Love composed by Arlen and Koehler - from a cassette tape made long ago, with this recording by Grace Johnston - Melotone M-12104 recorded January 13th 1931! the tape has a number of Benny Goodman Melotone recordings on it my little buddy Robert had! although not the best quality, I did some clean up on it to get it to the best possible, But it is a rather strange song almost monotone melody, and was pretty popular in 1930 and I think you will like it! I LOVE strange by the by! "NOTE!!" I thought I would have fun with a "faux label I designed when I made the label for Nauck's vintage records a long time back, I drew out my Royola label along with his, benzo made a wonderful suggestion about the R looking like the sam font "P" off the Perfect label, I had OKeh looking letters at first - the label in black and white print, with the thought of using Black or Purple colored paper with gold ink used for the design and text info, benzo surprised me with several awesome variations of my label one day, green, maroon & black, I made a bunch of the black (black is easiest to correctly print) ones and printed them on gold paper, the original has white print, this gold paper makes the white print gold, not perfect,- but it is the only way I can make a label of various colors with gold print until I figure out how it was done in the 1900s, 1920s -1940s! I have this label on records I cut myself, as well as records that had very damaged labels that were just too torn and not nice to look at. I hope You will enjoy! The Record in picture is actually Regal 9355 very worn out "GOOD MORNIN'" by Lanin's Southern Serenaders "I'm Just Wild About Harry" on the flip both take 3!
