Mr. Kaul is among the few who have witnessed the remarkable evolution of eye surgery firsthand. From couching 2000 years ago, through ICCE and ECCE, to the groundbreaking first IOL implant by Sir Harold Ridley in 1949, and Dr. Charles Kelman's phacoemulsification in the 1967 – which revolutionized stitchless surgery. In India, Mr. Koul played a key role in popularizing phaco, introducing micro-incision platforms, premium lenses, and more.
