Cat Clyde, "Everywhere I Go", // GemsOnVHS™

We met Cat some considerable years ago, when she stopped in Nashville to play the Basement (   • Cat Clyde, "All the Black," // GemsOn...  ). Well, she just couldn't get enough of honky-tonk central, so she came back this year to spend a little time in town, live like a local. One night, mutual pal Jeremie Albino (   • Jeremie Albino and Cat Clyde, "Been W...  ) stopped by, and we all went out to the Underdog bar to do the two-step with ole Todd Day Wait & the band playing on stage. Good times, had by all.

We stopped by the house Cat was staying to record a few of her new tunes, which are all on a killer new album she just released, called Down Rounder. The bouncing rhythms and unique vocals had me humming along for weeks after, and I hope it'll have the same effect on y'all. Cat is fresh and always funky, and I can't wait to see where the music takes her next, and hope to visit in Canada sometime.
