Описание к видео Fishing Report 1-23-2026 | FINALLY A WEATHER WINDOW!!!

We’re heading into a quarter moon, which usually brings slower-moving tides and weaker current through the weekend. When the water flow is lazy, fish can get picky — so the key is targeting areas that force water to move like passes, bridge pilings, points, cuts, and hard structure that creates an eddy.

The good news is a larger front is approaching, and the pre-front bite can be excellent. Fish often feed hardest ahead of pressure changes, especially during stable weather windows. Nearshore and offshore fishing should be strong through Saturday, with weather moving in around midday Sunday. If you can get out ahead of it, this weekend could fish very well despite weaker inshore flow.

Looking ahead, the full moon arrives late next weekend, and that’s when tides and bait movement typically ramp back up late in the coming work week. If a clean weather window opens, take advantage — those “between the blows” days are often the most productive.

Inshore, sheepshead remain a top target around docks, bridges, and rocky structure using small pieces of shrimp, clam, or oyster fished tight to structure. Trout are biting well in potholes, along grass edges, and around current funnels, with dock lights and bridge lights producing at night. Redfish are holding near oyster bars, mangroves, and deeper flats, especially where water is forced to move. Flounder are a strong bonus bite along sandy edges, while black drum show best near bridges. Snook are tucked back in bays and rivers seeking warmer, protected water — slow presentations during solunar periods work best.

Nearshore, hogfish continue to be a premium bite on live shrimp fished on a knocker rig with a long leader. Lane snapper are most consistent slightly deeper on shrimp, squid, and cut bait. Mangrove snapper are hit-or-miss but improve as you slide deeper, and red grouper are showing up on deeper hard bottom with the chance of keepers mixed in.

Offshore, red grouper remain a mainstay on ledges, potholes, and hard bottom, with bigger baits producing bigger fish. Scamp grouper mix in on pinfish and cut threadfin, while mangrove snapper are steady producers when downsized rigs are used. Yellowtail and mutton snapper improve in deeper, cleaner water, and pelagics are always possible — keep a pitch rod ready for kingfish, tuna, or wahoo.

📍 Pick your weather window, fish the structure, and take advantage of the pre-front bite while it’s there.
