Which do you prefer? Manual Transmission or Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Automatic Transmission or Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Responsive automatics are good if you know your car very well you'll always be in the powerband. DCT's are best for daily driving performance with same drivetrain loss as Manual but with lighting fast shifts. Manuals can be rev launched at almost any speed and gives the driver full control of the car. CVT is by far the least functional and revs your engine to redline until something breaks and very poor mpg unless you have flappy paddles. But wouldn't that defeat the purpose of CVT?
