Malik Sealy: He found his Perfect Fit in the NBA… Then His LIFE was TAKEN AWAY | FPP

Описание к видео Malik Sealy: He found his Perfect Fit in the NBA… Then His LIFE was TAKEN AWAY | FPP

He was Kevin Garnett's boyhood idol, an athletic forward who ran like a gazelle and contributed on both ends of the floor, Malik Sealy was one of the greatest players to come out of New York. After a stellar career at Tolentine, he would attend St. John's University and follow in the footsteps of other homegrown stars like Chris Mullin and Mark Jackson, even leading the Redmen to an Elite EIght Appearance in 1991. A first round pick in the 1992 Draft, Sealy struggled to find his home in the NBA, spending two forgettable years with the Reggie Miller led Indiana Pacers to start his career, then beginning to carve out a role on a young LA Clippers team, but by the 1999 NBA Season, he was coming off an awful year with Detroit, and his future in the NBA looked to be in Jeopardy, but he signed on with the Minnesota Timberwolves and over the next two years would become a fan favourite both on and off the court, and it was just for his personality, as Sealy had finally found his perfect fit in the NBA while also mentoring a young Kevin Garnett. But after the best season of his 8 year career, Sealy was tragically killed in an accident because of a drunk driver, ending his life at just 30 years old. Malik Sealy was truly gone too soon, but his legacy will forever live on.
