Flapper Check Valve Vs. Spring Check Valve (4K)

Quick comparison between flapper and spring loaded one way check valves.

Flapper
PRO: Low water pressure loss, long life, higher temperature resistant.
CON: limited orientation (if horizontal, the cap must be up. If vertical "flow up" only), back leakage


Spring
PRO: Any orientation, no back leakage
CON: Pressure loss, more limited life
