How to Measure SPARK PLUG GAP For Your Mercedes-Benz M113 Engine - SIMPLE & EASY!!!

Do you want maximum performance from your Mercedes-Benz engine? If so then be sure to measure your spark plug gap according to your manufacture recommended settings. If you’re not sure what your manufacture recommends then a good base line spark plug gap setting is .035 inches. Typically the wider you gap your spark plugs the weaker the spark. This is ok if you’re doing casual driving. If you plan to race your engine and keep it at high RPMs for long periods of time then a shorter spark plug gap would be ideal. Spark plug gap can affect fuel economy and performance past a certain point. Don’t worry too much. There is a tolerance that you engine can handle. Usually a spark plug gap +/- .010 from manufacture spec is ok. However, if you want every last bit of performance from your engine whether you’re using platinum or iridium spark plugs, then a proper spark plug gap is preferred.
