2024 International Fashion Art Biennale in Seoul

사단법인 한국패션문화협회는 1997년에 설립된 이후, 매년 국내외 패션아트 전시와 학술세미나 등의 활동을 통해 전 세계 작가들과 교류하며 한국패션의 세계화를 위해 노력해 왔습니다.
구성원으로는 국내 패션디자인 분야의 교수와 연구원, 산업계 디자이너들이 참여하고 있으며, 패션아트 분야의 세계적 허브 구축을 주된 과업으로 하고 있습니다.

‘2024 국제 패션아트비엔날레 인 서울 (International Fashion Art Biennale in Seoul)이 열리는 문화비축기지는 1970년대 석유를 보관하던 산업시설을 재생한 생태문화공원으로, 특별히 올해 행사는 한국패션문화협회와 문화비축기지의 협력전시로 기획되었습니다. 이번 전시는 ‘자연과의 조화: 지속가능한 패션아트 (In Harmony with Nature: Sustainable Fashion Art)’라는 주제로, 12개국 76명의 작가들이 환경오염에 대한 ‘성찰’과 자연과의 조화로운 ‘공존’, 그리고 미래 세계를 향한 ‘포용’적 시각을 생물학적 순환과 기술적 순환 방식으로 제안합니다. 이는 지속가능한 미래에 대해 창의적인 해결방안을 모색하는 의미 있는 기회가 될 것입니다.

Since the establishment of the Korea Fashion & Culture Association in 1997, members have been striving for the globalization of Korean fashion through annual domestic and international fashion art exhibitions and academic seminars, facilitating exchanges with artists worldwide. The members are professors, researchers from the fashion field, and fashion designers, with the main task of establishing a global hub in the fashion art field.

The ‘2024 International Fashion Art Biennale in Seoul will be held at Oil Culture Tank Park, an ecological cultural space regenerated from an industrial facility that stored oil in the 1970s. This year’s event is a collaboration between the Korea Fashion & Culture Association and Oil Tank Culture Park.

The event theme is “In Harmony with Nature: Sustainable Fashion Art.” Artists from 12 countries will propose views on “reflection” on environmental pollution, “coexistence” in harmony with nature, and “embracement” of a future world with biological and technological circular methods. This will be a meaningful opportunity to seek creative solutions for a sustainable future.
