{4K} [FIRST CLASS FULL FLIGHT] Houston (IAH) - Denver (DEN) — United Airlines — Boeing 757-324

→ I made my connection. I actually made it. I was the absolute last person through the jetway door before it closed. All thanks to United's Connection Saver program. The Connection Saver program is unique to United and has saved thousands of tight connections due to inbound flight delays. I see it throughout the system daily and am so glad to see it in action.

→ United's Boeing 757-300 is meant for one thing: high-demand economy, low-demand premier class route flying. It holds a whopping 234 people and its maneuverability makes it a prime choice on hub-to-hub flights and to Hawaii. The first-class seats are the exact seats you would find in any of United's other narrow-body first-class sections — not lie-flat (like its shorter cousin, the 757-200). That paired with the sheer length of this bird makes it not my favorite first-class experience. The angle of which is needed to see the engine, even from the last row of first class, is more than what the window can provide, so the shot is a little wonky. Hope that doesn't deter you!

→ Now, to the flight review. The crew was fantastic! Absolutely delightful to fly with them. The catering, once again, was absolutely horrendous. I pre-ordered a 5-cheese stuffed manicotti with tomato sauce right as the pre-order email was sent. I was really looking forward to it. Lo and behold, IAH catering "forgot" to load it. So, I was left with one option and one option only: the vegetarian option of the same meal from the previous flight — Thai tofu with seasoned rice and stir-fried vegetables served with a green salad, warm bread and butter, and a blueberry-lemon pound cake (the BEST). The meal service is seen at 39:23. Now, you're probably wondering why I said the food was horrendous but then ended on a positive note. The simple explanation is: this was the best meal I had on this entire 2-day first class journey. It only got progressively worse. Keep watching every Sunday at 3 p.m. to see how it all unfolds!

→ One last note, I had to cut out the taxi into Denver because of the overwhelmingly annoying squeaking that came from the galley right behind me. So, don't come at me about cutting part of this out :)
