In this exciting video, we give an old, rusty, hiking axe a second life!

You'll see the entire hardening process, including preparing and heating the axe, and cooling and annealing it to achieve optimal blade hardness.

Once the hardening process is complete, we will proceed with the installation of the new handle by selecting the appropriate material and machining it.

You will learn how to properly attach the handle to the axe blade and make it ready for use. But, you will also see what difficulties I encountered.
