I did a video of this song a few years ago with Dooflcipsa, but I thought it fit Bert and Ernie as well. These two really do break the laws of attraction, and I can imagine a situation where Bi Unibrow Muppet is pouring his heart out on how much he loves Ernie thinking he's alone (because Bert dosen't want Ernie to know he has a crush on him), only for Gay Football Head Muppet to have been secretly watching him the whole time, and Bert feels embarrassed about it.

IDK if I've said this before, but it needs to be said. Everyone who was talking about Elmo being a savage need to put Ernie on trial next. He was freaking savage in the first season (he literally erased Cookie Monster, and threatened to tear a fish from fin to fin for thinking one melted his ice cubes)! While this was dropped after Season 1, I feel like he's actually one of the strongest Sesame Street characters, and could become extremely terrifying, and dangerous someone even thought about hurting Bert. That being said the "always turning to violence" lyrics simply refer to how different the two are. Ernie is more extroverted, confident, and adventurous, while Bert is more introverted, anxious, and nerdy.
