Vintage Synth Expansion: JV-880 vs. XV-5080

As I had the chance to try out a Roland JV-880 Sound module (1992), I decided to pitch it against my Roland XV-5080 (2000) using the "Vintage Synth" Expansion Board SR-JV80-04.

The "Vintage Synth" Expansion Board fits into many of Roland's Sound modules (JV, Super JV, some XV). As an equivalent alternative, XV Sound modules can be fitted with the "Ultimate Keys" Wave SRX-07 Expansion Board (containing all the samples of the SR-JV80-04); the bundled CD-ROM contains the original "Vintage Synth" patches in SysEx made to be compatible with the newer SRX card.
