Among the four temperature seasons, summers are the hottest. We all are aware and have enjoyed the summer vacation in our school days, a time when we used to enjoy the longer days and the warm weather with all the ice-creams, mangoes, and other playful stuff. However, the fun in this season is not the same for everyone. In the hottest days, the single drop of moisture gets evaporated.

Even the human body can get dried at times, for which we should consume more and more water to keep ourselves hydrated and healthy during this season. Moreover, kidney patients have to be more cautious about the health of their organs in this hot season.

There are chances that kidney patients might face significant health issues in this season in comparison to the other three. With the change in season, one should also bring some changes in the lifestyle. Kidney requires ample water to function appropriately, while in the summer season, dehydration is common. Therefore it is necessary to keep the body hydrated. Moreover, a kidney patient should:

• Take care of the sodium intake and should keep the blood pressure under control.
• Add fruits like apple, cranberries, pineapple, and other berries in the diet.
• Add fresh vegetables like bottle guard, ridge guard, etc. to the diet.
• Practice yoga instead of exercises that can lead to hypertension and dehydration.
