SAMBALA, a new South Sudanese movie on addressing domestic violence features some of the most talented movie casts in the film and movie industry in South Sudan. Sambala, the main character, found himself at a crossroads having to decide between continuing with his education or giving it up in support of the love of his life, Likiso. With limited resources, he sacrificed his university tuition to help pay for his girlfriend’s fees. As a hardworking young man, Sambala remained home hustling to ensure that he is able to raise enough funds to meet all the school requirements for Likiso’s learning process. Three years later, Likiso graduates from the University with Honors and secured a good paying job. She happily married Sambala, the young man who sacrificed all that he had for her sake. As time goes by and due to bad peer pressure and influence, Likiso had a change of heart, assaulted, and threw out her husband, Sambala, out of the house, and eventually abandoned Sambala for a “wealthy and presentable” guy.
