Hey friends! 👋
Welcome back to The Wads — and oh boy, today’s video is a total home transformation. After a week full of hosting, sleepovers, guests, kids, friends, food, and FUN, my house looked like an absolute disaster zone. The kind where you open a closet and something falls out. You know what I mean, right? 😂
I’m talking:
The kitchen was a war zone with dishes everywhere
The kids’ bathroom looked like a bath bomb factory exploded (thanks to potions, lotions, and “science experiments” 😅)
The playroom and movie room? Don’t ask.
And our lanai/back patio — a total embarrassment, especially since pool contractors were coming over (of course!)
But today was the day I said enough is enough! and tackled it all in one big, satisfying summer clean with me. I threw on a good podcast and zoned out while scrubbing, organizing, and resetting my entire space — and I’ll be honest, I kind of love this part. The before and after is always so worth it.
PLUS! I cooked one of our favorite summer meals:

A super simple and crazy delicious bacon corn salad you’ll want to make on repeat all season long!
We even ended the day by spending time with friends out on the lake — just soaking in these summer days that make all the chaos worth it. Because let’s be real… these are the good ol’ days. These are the moments I want to remember. 💛
It was actually such a lovely summer day, I got some cleaning done, cooking done, and I got to spend a lot of time with the kids and some friends at their house, we spent some time on the lake which is always such a delight! Looking back - these are the days I want to remember. These are the days I need to remind myself that make it all worth it. These are the good 'ol days. These are the moments that turn into memories!!
