By now it's a Metalltool tradition to release a track on Christmas, so there you go! I hope you enjoy this and if it sounds overproduced that's because it actually is :)
I had a lot of fun with this and tried something different by using 80's and 90's drum machines, as I felt it would fit the Megaman Classic franchise.
The counter melodies in this track (well Megaman 5 in general) are insane and the original bass line, though really fun to play on bass guitar, was transposed one octave down and eventually swapped out with synth bass.

This track of course is a tribute to the beatiful Megaman 5 soundtrack, which has been composed by Mari Yamaguchi.

For some reason there are rumours that the Wily Stage theme has actually been composed by Yoko Shimomura, but I couldn't find any reliable proof for that.

I'll be returning to Megaman 5 of course as I like many of the tracks.
Megaman 5 was the last NES game my parents bought me back in the day and here in Germany we didn't get Megaman 6, so it holds a deep spot in my heart. I'm glad I could finally get to this piece.
