Porto's Bakery & Cafe was established in 1946 by Rosa Porto, who used her baking skills to to support her family upon immigrating to the US from Cuba. Rosa's delicious and high quality baked goods resulted in a loyal customer base and now the Porto family has expanded to 6 locations in the Los Angeles and adjacent areas. They are known for their sweet and savory pastries, their delectable cakes, and their classic Cuban dishes. We're sampling an assortment of items today to get a tasting tour of Cuba, from chicken empanadas to a ropa vieja sandwich.
