In this final reflection on the effects of original sin, the priest explains how humanity inherited a strong inclination to evil—known as concupiscence—after Adam and Eve lost the gift of integrity. This disorder causes our lower faculties (emotions and appetites) to rebel against reason and God, leading us toward sin.
