African Pride (Uburu New Yam Festival 2024)

As Africans, we take pride in our culture and tradition which serve as a unifier among several groups and communities. In Nigeria, the new yam festival is mostly celebrated by the Igbos between July and September and thus, marks the begining of a new year in the Igbo calendar. During this period, indigenes of the Igbo folks travel from far and near to participate in the feast of the new yam.
Uburu, one of the most popular commnities in South Eastern Nigerian just concluded her new yam festivities. It was a huge success and we thank the Almighty Father for keeping us safe and sound to witness another year of bountiful harvest.
