Zeke Horowitz grew up in Sarasota, Fla. where he quickly took to sailing and began racing in the Optimist Class at the age of nine. His Optimist racing took him all over the world and inspired his passion for sailing and the camaraderie that comes with the sport. He continued on to race in other dinghies and small keel boats throughout high school, garnering multiple state and national championships along the way. Zeke attended The College of Charleston in South Carolina where he was selected as an Honorable Mention All-American twice, as well as an Academic All-Conference All-American. Zeke was team captain his senior year, and led the Cougars to their first ever ICSA Team Racing National Championship. Since graduation in 2012, Zeke has been active in the sailing industry working at a yacht club, and competing as much as possible. Zeke has also spent some time as an assistant coach with the Yale University Sailing team where he helped them to wins at both the ICSA Team Racing Championship and the ICSA Coed Fleet Racing Championship.

Zeke‘s sailing resume includes a World Championship in the Viper Class as well as seven North American / National championship titles in various classes and disciplines.
