This is how you hit a Slice serve!!

In this video, I'm showing you my player with the most power on his serve. And I'm pointing out some of the things he's doing to get so much power on his Serve. The first thing I want you to recognize is his trophy position, how low his right elbow is, and the line from his right elbow to his left arm. This is how you get power by going shoulder over shoulder with his trophy position, very visible in this video. Secondly, I want you to watch how he's bringing his feet together. He's staying sideways feet together. And his left hip is pushing forward. This is giving him a lot of elastic energy and power. Notice also how he's stretching his left arm up quite a bit, stretching his left arm. This is also giving him elastic power and energy for more power. And then notice even with his pinpoint stance on his powerful serve he's going up and forward, many players with the pinpoint serve end up only going up but mark in this video is going up and forward landing in the green with his left foot in the green and because of the power he's generating from his legs, his back leg is also kicking
Let me help you once and for all to stop guessing which serve grip to use. In this video I'm talking you through it, Just like how I would talk to you if we were face to face and helping you to choose for you. What's very important is for you to understand that you cannot get away with a forehand grip. There is such a thing as an Australian grip, which is right in between the serve grip continental and the eastern forehand grip. Credit to intuitive tennis for letting me know about this. I did know about the grip but not about the name of the grip. Then, if you really want to know the basics and what is the right grip according to the tennis books out there, continental grip you are able to use for the first serve, slice and second serve and you won't go wrong. What I recommend though, is for my players to get more kick, more snap more power and more slice is to consider using bevel one which is also used for the Eastern backhand grip. I get a lot more kick and I use this for my kick serves in matches as well. But watch this video after watching this video, you should know exactly which grip to use for your serve

champions let's talk about the ball toss today. What you need to understand is that it doesn't matter how good your serve swing is, it doesn't matter how good your serve technique is, if your ball toss is wrong, you will never reach your full potential on your serve. In this video, we're talking about three exercises that can improve your ball toss immediately. And the first one we starting with basically marking your ball and just checking where you're at.

In this video we talk about getting effortless power on your serve. And for you to get power you need to use your strongest part of the body, which are your legs. But just using your legs and trying to force leg power won't work you need to use your biomechanics and the kinetic chain. A lot of players try and get the back leg down only and they forget that you can only get your back leg down if your left hip goes forward. So make very sure to have your left hip go forward and then the back leg will drop automatically and it will be easier to drop your back leg. Once you have this position the trophy position will become automatic, and you'll be able to get your hip over hip, shoulder over shoulder and you'll get automatic power. Left hip forward and automatically the back leg will drop and then explode up.

Okay my tennis champion so I'm taking you through ways to double up your rhythm on your serve immediately. First thing we're going to talk about today is the j loop. What the j loop does, it really helps you to rotate the shoulders. But more importantly what it does is it helps you to transfer your weight from the front leg to the back leg and then forward onto the ball again. If you don't have weight transfer, then you will never have rhythm. Number two, you want to have something in your mind that helps you not to rush the serve. I like to go with Wait Wait, wait hit. You can use whatever you want, but you cannot rush to serve. Use a method that's going to help you to slow down on serve. And then lastly, my personal favorite is to keep your wrist as loose as possible. If you keep your wrist loose and then everything happens automatically you can snap the ball your rotation happens better and the racquet drops behind your head easier. Be very sure if you want rhythm on your serve be very sure to keep your wrist loose.
