Michelle Scully, is a 51 year old mum, with 5 children. 3 of them living at home, with her and her partner David. She is living with Diabetes type 1 and Terminal Cancer. Michelle was diagnosed in 2016 with a Terminal Rare Cancer, called Neuroendocrine Cancer, after a Liver Resection in 2016. A delabitating and deathly cancer, which is very complex. There is no cure for this Cancer. It causes alot of health issues.
Michelle cant work, as the cancer has worsened over the last 2 years. She is now a grade 3, stage 4 Cancer Patient. She has multiple tumors in her Liver, Lymph Nodes and on most of her Skeletal region.
On top of fighting this Cancer, and Diabetes, Michelle has to cope with Financial Stress. Most of the Treatments, Medicines and Testing are not covered by PBS. She also is on a special diet, for her Diabetes Type 1 and the Cancer.
Ontop of all that, is daily living bills, eg household bills, rent, vehicle expenses, Education Expenses, family grocery and meat expenses.
Her Partner David does not work either, due to his major health issues.
Michelle is looking at having to recieve more, Radiation Treatment and is very uncomfortable with intense Tumor Pain and the inability to eat full meals.
